Inspired by Neruda’s Canto General poem Saludo

In Subterranean Soul painting I got inspiration from Neruda’s Canto General poem Greetings (Saludo). I felt identified with the poet’s feelings related to being far away from our loved country. I was touched specially by some of his subtle and at the same time powerful description of the Chilean geography: “growth mute as your smooth sulphur  (crecimiento callado como suave azufre) / stentorean ash from your subterranean soul (estertórea ceniza de tu alma subterránea)…
